Arua Hill 3-0 UPDF
Ten-man Arua Hill continued their perfect home run in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League (SUPL) this season by thrashing the UPDF 3-0 at Barifa Stadium on Friday.
Rashid Toha, Gadafi Kacancu and Wahibi Gadafi scored the goals as the Kongolo put up yet another three-goal performance.
The only downside to an otherwise impressive performance was a late sending off of Arua Hill’s Joseph Bright Vuni after a second booking.
Maroons and KCCA are the other two teams to have fallen at Barifa Stadium, each conceding three times.
The victory moves Arua Hill, who have now picked up 10 points from a possible 12, up to second place, just four marks behind leaders BUL.
The UPDF drop to 11th place with just five points from six games.
Toha opened the scoring for the hosts from the penalty spot on 26 minutes following a foul in the box on Allan Mugalu.
Midfielder Kacancu doubled the hosts lead on 66 minutes before the Kongolo were reduced to 10 men when defender Vuni was handed a second yellow card.
But that did not stop Arua Hill from adding from completing the thrashing, Wahab scoring the hosts second penalty in the seventh minute of added time for a 3-0 victory.
