Murushid Jjuuko has finally completed his move to six time Ugandan champions Express FC.
The former Vipers and SC Victoria University defender signed a one year deal with the Red Eagles.
“Firstly i want to appreciate the CEO (Isaac Mwesigwa) and the head coach (Wasswa Bbosa) for making this happen,” Jjuuko told the club website.
“I am happy to be here, Express is a big club and its current progress speaks for itself and am sure we going to win silverware this season,” he added.
Wasswa Bbosa who so far signed sixteen players in this window believes Jjuuko’s experience will be vital for the young players.
“We’re glad to have Murushid on the team, he’s experience speaks for itself without a doubt, his discipline will help the youngsters in the team to become better.”
Jjuuko hasn’t played competitively since featuring for Uganda Cranes against Malawi on November 17, 2019 in the 2021 Afcon qualifiers at Namboole as he opted against returning to his former immediate employers Wydad Casablanca in Morocco.
By the time the league kicks off on November 20, it will be exactly a year and three days since he last played.
