The Uganda Cranes, who entered a local camp on Thursday, will depart for a training tour in Dubai on Sunday ahead of the resumption of the Afcon 2021/22 qualifiers.
However, one special man, who is behind Uganda Cranes success story with goalkeepers, will be missing on that Emirates flight.
Cranes goalkeeping coach and Vipers head tactician, Fred Kajoba, will miss the trip through illness, his club confirmed.
Kajoba’s goalkeeping coach at Vipers, Ibrahim Mugisha, has been brought in to fill the void.
The training camp in Dubai starts October 6 to 13 as the Cranes prepare for their Afcon 2022 back-to-back qualifying clashes against South Sudan next month.
Thirteen StarTimes Uganda Premier League (SUPL) players, currently in camp in Kampala, will be joined by their foreign based counterparts in Dubai.
