Bright Stars will have to do without Coach Fred Kajoba for four matches after he has been hit with a ban.

This follows his verbal attack on referee Denis Batte in the goalless draw at Matugga against Vipers on match day one of the Azam Uganda Premier League.

Below is the FULL verdict from the UPL

Match Officials’ Reports indicate that during AUPL match # 02 Bright Stars FC Vs Vipers SC played on Tuesday 12th September 2017 at Champions Stadium-Mwererwe, Bright Stars FC Head Coach Fred Kajoba verbally attacked the referee Mr. Batte Denis as he entered the dressing room at half time using abusive language.

Article 30(2) of the FUFA Competitions Rules 2017/18 provide that, ‘A participant shall at all times act in the best interests of the game and shall not act in any manner which is improper or brings the game into disrepute or use any one, or a combination of; violent conduct, serious foul play, threatening, abusive, indecent or insulting words or behavior.’ Pursuant to article 30(8), Mr Fred Kajoba has been given a four match touchline ban for AUPL matches with immediate effect.

The Club is hereby advised to prevail itself over their coach in regard to such improper and unsporting behavior.

The ban begins with immediate effect and thus Kajoba will miss the Friday away fixture against Soana.
