Following a period of speculation, Halid Lwaliwa has confirmed Vipers SC stay by signing a new three year deal.
The central defender has been linked with moves to clubs in Kenya, Botswana as well locally but he opted to stay at Vipers SC.
Lwaliwa who joined the club from their feeder side, St. Mary’s Kitende in 2014 missed the training camp in Mbale but returned to training on Monday.
He joins Brian Nkuubi and Duncan Sseninde who renewed their contract at the league champions.
The club now remains in talks with goalkeeper Ismail Watenga who is yet to confirm his stay at the Kitende based club.
In central defence, Lwaliwa will face competition from Ibrahim Kiyemba, Livingstone Mulondo, Geoffrey Wasswa and Bashir Asiku.
Lwaliwa played a few games last season on his return from a long term injury he sustained while on national duty.
