New league entrants Mbarara City have partnered with betting firm, Top Bet in a deal worth Ugx. 200 million of shirt sponsorship.

The one year partnership with an option for renewal was unveiled on Thursday September 7, 2017 at Kati Kati Restaurant, Lugogo at a function attended by club chairman Mwiine Mpaka and Harold Atukwase from Top Bet.

“We are proud to partner with Mbarara FC,” said Atukwase on behalf of Top Bet. “They are stronghold name in the Western region and we share the same ambitions of being community based,” he added.

“As a company, we so much care about the welfare of the people and for that, the package will cater for players’ allowances and salaries plus branding Kakyeeka stadium – home to Mbarara City.

Mpaka, also Member of Parliament for youth in Western Region was delighted with the partnership stating it will go a long way in improving the club.

“We appreciate the support from Top Bet and as a club; we believe the sponsorship will only make us a better team. We promise to keep the marriage and hope for better things in future.

 

Mbarara City open their new campaign away against Bul FC next week on Tuesday September 12, then host former champions Express four days later and their third game is an away tie against record league winners, SC Villa in Masaka.
