Tooro's Albert Mugisa

Azam Uganda Premier League players continued to dominate the inaugural FUFA Drum competition with brilliant performances.

On match day three, a historical one for both Buganda and Karamoja who picked their first maximum points, six out of the eight match day Man of the Match awards went to Premier League stars.

In Bukedi, Proline’s Ronal Musana of Bukedi won the accolade, Police midfielder Albert Mugisa of Tooro was voted man of the match against West Nile in a goalless draw while KCCA youngster Allan Okello (Lango) was picked despite his side losing 1-0 to Buganda.

Elsewhere, Tonny Odur of Vipers (Buganda) won the accolade as his Kampala Region thumped Rwenzori 5-0 at Lugogo, Fred Okot (Acholi) of URA won the award as his side won 1-0 at home to Kigezi while Vipers’ James Alitho (Bugisu) was the best player as they won 3-1 away to Sebei.

The goalkeeper for his club plays as a centre forward in the FUFA Drum and scored twice on the day.

Only Isaac Isinde (Busoga) and Ivan Korobe (Karamoja) won the award minus playing in the top tier.
