SC Villa 2-1 KCCA

Azam Uganda Premier League (AUPL) defending champions KCCA continued their suspect start to the campaign with a 2-1 defeat to bitter rivals SC Villa in Masaka on Saturday.

Allan Kyambadde and Martin Kizza scored for coach Wasswa Bbosa’s side as they won their fourth match in seven attempts to go fourth on 12 points.

Timothy Awany netted KCCA’s consolation as manager Mike Mutebi’s men continued their stop-start season.

KCCA have now won only two matches, losing one and drawing four others.

The Lugogo side lie sixth on 10 points from seven matches.

Villa started the game in Masaka with resolve, Kyambadde putting them ahead inside just five minutes.

KCCA searched for the equaliser after recess and got their reward 10 minutes from time, Awany scoring to send the visitors bench into celebrations.

But Kizza snuffed out all the celebrations, netting a winner five minutes from full time
