SC Villa have parted ways with coach Morley Byekwaso after two seasons at the club.
Byekwaso, a former player at the club, was relieved of his duties following a campaign that saw Villa finish 6th last season, failing to defend the title.
In the announcement from the club, the President Mr. Omar Ahmed Mandela thanked Byekwaso for his commitment and contribution.
‘We would like to thank Morley for his commitment and contribution to the Club. This was a mutual decision, reached respectfully, and we wish him nothing but the very best in his future endeavours. He has done us proud.’
The former KCCA tactician worked as an assistant in his first season under Dusan Stojanovic as Villa ended a 20-year wait for the elusive record-extending title 17 before he took over as head coach last season.
At the moment, Byekwaso is occupied with a national team role as he was appointed alongside Vipers’ Fred Muhumuza to manage the Uganda Cranes CHAN team.
