Soana 3-1 The Saints

Soana picked their first maximum points of the season with a 3-1 victory over the Saints at Kavumba on Tuesday.

Ssebagala Kamada helped himself to a brace and Patrick Asiko grabbed the other as Sam Ssimbwa won his first game in charge of Soana since replacing Charles Ayiekoh, who through in the towel over a week ago.

Aggrey Kirya netted the Saints consolation in this Azam Uganda Premier League (UPL) match.

Victory pushes the Kavumba-based club up to fourth place with four points, two less than leaders KCCA.

Soana drew their first game goalless away at Onduparaka in Arua. Here, they would not settle for less.

But they would not have it their way. They had to come from behind after succumbing to Kirya’s 44 minutes goal.

They hit back on 70 minutes, Kamada pouncing before Asiku’s penalty made it 2-1. Kamada was to score again with nine minutes to play to put Soana’s victory beyond doubt.
