As the Uganda Premier League heads into Match Day 13, the numbers recorded so far provide useful insight into the trends shaping the 2025/26 season.

A total of 221 goals have been scored after twelve Match Days. Home teams have contributed 136 goals, while away sides have scored 85. The second half continues to be the most productive period, accounting for 111 goals, compared to 94 in the first half. An additional 13 goals have been scored in extra time, while three own goals have also been registered.

Match Day 8 remains the most prolific round so far with 27 goals. Match Day 6 produced the highest number of second-half goals, with 17, underlining the importance of endurance and tactical adjustments after the interval. Home teams recorded their highest single Match Day output of 16 goals on Match Days 6 and 10.

Defensively, the league has recorded 61 clean sheets. Home teams account for 37 clean sheets, while away teams have managed 24. Match Days 4 and 11 each produced seven clean sheets, reflecting disciplined defensive performances across several fixtures.

Nineteen penalties have been awarded so far this season. Sixteen have been converted, while three have been missed. Match Days 4, 9 and 11 each recorded the highest number of penalties in a single round, with three awarded on each occasion.

Discipline has remained a defining feature of the campaign. A total of 285 yellow cards have been shown, with away teams receiving 156 and home teams 129. The second half has seen the most cautions, accounting for 184 yellow cards, while 76 were issued in the first half and 25 in extra time. Match Day 5 recorded the highest number of cautions, with 30 yellow cards.

Ten red cards have been issued after Match Day 12. Away teams account for eight dismissals, while home teams have received two. Five red cards were shown in the second half, three in the first half and one in extra time, highlighting the intensity that often characterises decisive phases of matches.
