A five-member committee has been instituted to handle the programme for the return of the remains and burial of fallen Cranes goalkeeper Abel Dhaira.

The committee includes Fufa 1st vice president Justus Mugisha, Rugyendo Arinaitwe (chairman Fufa Super League Limited Board), Norah Nassimbwa (State House), Katende Ssemakula (National Council of Sports) and Mayemba Faisal (Abel Dhaira’s family member).

State House will meet all the costs of bringing back the body to Uganda while Fufa will take care of the burial and funeral arrangements in Uganda.

Dhaira, who died aged 28, was diagnosed with abdominal cancer late last year, though other sources claim early this year.

After failing to improve, he was flown back to his Icelandic club, IBV Vestmanaeyjar, before breathing his last on Sunday
