SC Villa will host Maroons on the first day of the second round of the 2023/24 StarTimes Uganda Premier League following the release of fixtures.

The final round kicks off a week earlier than earlier scheduled with the opener on Thursday February 01 at Mutesa II stadium, Wankulukuku.

The big news however is the omission of Arua Hill leaving the league with only fifteen teams at least for now.

The club which hosted the first round matches at Paridi in Adjumani however has a chance to appeal the decision.

“Arua Hill SC License has been withdrawn by the FUFA Club Licensing Committee subject to an appeal by the club,” read a statement on the fixtures.

Mbarara City have also been asked to host matches elsewhere after Kakyeeka stadium was found unfit to host games.

However, no venue was included on their home fixtures as yet with a communication to be made later.

“Kakyeka Stadium hosting rights has been withdrawn by the FUFA Club Licensing Committee.”

As per the fixture, the league will end on May 18 with all teams in action save for current table leaders BUL FC.
