Overview:
Former Express tactician Kaddu Badru Mukasa has been unveiled as the new head coach of NEC, bringing with him a reputation for tactical discipline, data-driven analysis, and a growing portfolio of top-flight experience.
NEC have confirmed the appointment of Kaddu Badru Mukasa as their new head coach, effective Thursday, November 6, 2025.
The news comes after NEC parted ways with their now former coach Hussein Mbalangu, who was first suspended with the club accusing him of divided loyalty due to his involvement in the Masaza Cup with Ssingo.

Mukasa joins the club from Express, where he served as head coach, having initially joined the Red Eagles as an assistant.
He is regarded as one of the emerging Ugandan tacticians blending modern football analysis with traditional coaching values.
His tenure at Express saw the team adopt a more structured and analytical approach, marked by improved defensive organisation and progressive attacking play.
Mukasa previously worked as assistant coach at Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) FC, where he gained valuable top-flight and continental experience.

Outside the dugout, he is known for his work in sports performance and data analysis through his company, KB Analytics, which provides insights and statistical breakdowns for teams and players.
“We’re delighted to announce that Kaddu Badru Mukasa is joining the club as our head coach on Thursday, November 6, 2025,” the club said in a statement.
“KB, as he is fondly known, brings a wealth of experience, tactical acumen, and a proven winning mentality to our club.”
Mukasa’s immediate task will be to stabilise the squad for the remainder of the half season and lay the foundations for a more competitive second round of the 2025/26 Uganda Premier League campaign.
