Reigning premier league champions welcome right back Ashraf Mandela as their latest signing in the window ahead of the new season.

The defender who started his career at the club before stints with URA and Villa rejoins the Venoms from Rwanda’s Police FC where he has spent two years.

“It feels great to be back home again. Vipers has always been special to me, and I am ready to give my best for the team and the fans,” Mandela told the club website.

He becomes the latest addition to the Vipers squad, following the arrivals of Robin Kane Hney, Mark Yallah, Taddeo Lwanga, Odili Chukwuma, Kevin Dasylva Bady, and Enock Ssebaggala.

Vipers will represent Uganda in the Caf Champions League for next season and face Namibia’s African Stars in the preliminary round.
