The StarTimes Uganda Premier League 2025/26 season kicks off on Friday 26 September 2024 with six fixtures lined up across different venues. The Referees Appointment Committee has confirmed the match officials for Matchday 1, while FUFA has also introduced a new category of officials, the Technical Officers, who will debut this season.

Technical Officers are a new addition to the matchday structure, reserved for former players, and tasked with enhancing match analysis and providing detailed reports to the FUFA Technical Study Group. They will also sit on the Match Technical Panel to select the Man of the Match.
