With less a week to the 2025/26 season, Police, Mbarara City and Lugazi continue to bolster their squads with new faces.

2005 league champions have been busier this week and have now added Ben Tahomera to their defensive options.

Tahomera joins the Cops from BUL and becomes the latest new face at the club after Said Kyeyune, Deus Bukenya, Bedia Ikamba, Charles Bbale and Richard Matovu who have all arrived this week.

Lugazi has also signed striker Alfred Leku to increase options in their attacking force with South Sudanese international joining the Leaders from Kenya’s Police FC.

He has previously played for Vipers, Express, Arua Hill, Proline and Onduparaka in the league while also played for Jwaneng Galaxy (2018) and Extension Gunners of Botswana, and Zambia’s Zesco United.

Meanwhile, after unveiling coach Simon Peter Mugerwa a month ago, Mbarara City have also stepped up their preparations by signing Ambrose Arinda, Ian Amanya and Clinton Mugisha from Wakiso Giants, Lugazi and Kaaro Karungi respectively.
