The Uganda Premier League Secretariat in partnership with Centenary Bank has officially handed over accolades to the standout performers of the 2024/25 season. The awards celebrated excellence in three major statistical categories which included goal scoring, assists and goalkeeping.
Allan Okello of Vipers SC won the Golden Boot after playing 30 matches and accumulating 2,526 minutes. He scored 19 goals and contributed 4 assists while earning 5 Man of the Match awards. His consistency in front of goal together with his ability to create opportunities for teammates underpinned Vipers SC’s strong campaign. His decisive influence was reflected in his five Man of the Match displays.
Moses Aliro Okabo of URA FC received the accolade of Assist King. He played 22 matches with a total of 1,909 minutes. He scored 4 goals and delivered 8 assists while being named Man of the Match on 2 occasions. Although he featured in fewer games than some of his peers his vision and precision in the final third made him the most effective creator in the league.
Chrispas Kusiima of Kitara FC was awarded the Golden Glove. He played 27 matches and featured for 2,430 minutes. He kept 16 clean sheets which highlighted his command of the penalty area and his reliability throughout the season. His consistency between the posts played a central role in the defensive stability of Kitara FC.
