- Entebbe UPPC vs Vipers – Bugonga Fisheries Ground 4pm
- Mbarara City vs NEC – Rwamwanje stadium, Kamwenge 4pm
Match day five of the StarTimes Uganda Premier League comes to conclusion on Saturday with champions Vipers joining the fray.
The Venoms make a short trip to Fisheries Ground Bugonga to take on Entebbe UPPC.
A couple of issues including continental participation had kept away the champions from domestic football and playing catch up now, they must win against the league’s newcomers to send a statement of intent.
The hosts have started the season on a decent note winning twice, losing once and drawing as many and with seven points, they lie 5th on the 16-team log.
Former Venoms Issa Bugembe, Isa Mubiru and Fazil Tumwine will turn guns against their former bosses just like Abdallah Mubiru and Livingstone Mbabazi who both coached at Kitende.
For Vipers, Jacky Ivan Minnaert must win to keep his job and will rely on the experienced heads led by captain Milton Karisa, Yunus Sentamu and Allan Okello must play their A game.
In Kamwenge, NEC and Mbarara City lock horns with either aiming to get their first win of the season.
The Ankole Lions have drawn two and lost as many in four matches played so far while NEC have drawn two and lost one leaving both on two points in the bottom half of the table.
It will be the second game with James Odoch in charge as Hussein Mbalangu remains suspended.
