Wakiso Giants 2-0 Gaddafi

Wakiso Giants are on cloud nine after opening a three-point gap at the StarTimes Uganda Premier League summit following a 2-0 victory over visiting Gaddafi on Friday.

Shariph Kimbowa and Rahmat Ssenfuka’s goals at Kabaka Kyabaggu Stadium were enough for the Purple sharks to register their fifth win in eight matches.

Coach John Ayala Luyinda’s men now have 17 points, with BUL and Vipers – who have played a game fewer, on 14.

Gaddafi, who were losing their second game in seven, stay ninth with as many points.

The hosts, Wakiso, were evidently the better side and were full value for their victory.

Their first goal, a penalty, arrived two minutes to half time when Kimbowa converted from the spot.

Wakiso’s second came from substitute Ssenfuka, who sealed the victory 13 minutes from full time.
