  • KCCA 0-2 Vipers SC

Goals from Livingstone Mulondo and Yunus Sentamu handed Vipers a 2-0 victory over KCCA in the Stanbic Uganda Cup final on Saturday at the Fufa Stadium, Kadiba.

The victory ensured that Vipers won their second league and cup double after they reclaimed the league title from SC Villa last week.

Mulondo who ended joint-top scorer of the competition with four goals got the opener inside five minutes to send the red part of the filled Kadiba stands into frenzy.

The centre back capitalized on poor clearance from the KCCA backline after Milton Karisa headed Allan Okello’s ball from the corner towards Mugolofa’s goal.

KCCA reacted with some good football but Emmanuel Anyama, Usama Arafat and Brian Ijara all failed to grab the leveller when presented with a chance.

Karim Watambala twice nearly extended the lead but one of his shots just flew inches wide while another was blocked.

In the second half, Mugume rattled the bar with Vipers clearing their lines before Sentamu capitalised on Magambo’s miscue to seal victory in the 56th minute.

From then on, it was game over despite a late charge from KCCA but Vipers held on for victory.
