Edward Golola has been appointed as URA’s first assistant coach as the club continues preparations for the new season,
The former title winning tactician at Vipers becomes the second addition to the technical staff in the window after club legend Manko Kawesa.
Golola will be the first assistant to Alex Isabirye, ironically, a former champions with Vipers as well.
URA are without a league title in more than a decade and they view the arrival of Golola, who has two titles to his name as one that could help cross the bridge again.
Golola’s coaching credentials are impressive, having attained a UEFA coaching license in Germany, a CAF B license, and a Youth Coaching Certificate. These qualifications underline his ability to handle both senior and developmental roles in football management.
