Lugazi secured a landmark 2–1 victory over BUL at Lugazi Stadium, Najjembe on a day of mixed results in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League.
The contest began cautiously before BUL struck first midway through the opening half, with Man of the Match Freedom Mungudit heading home from close range.
Lugazi responded after the break, finding an equaliser through Abdul Karim Ndugwa to inject urgency into the contest.
The hosts pushed for a winner and were rewarded late on when Paul Busolo guided the decisive goal into the net with seven minutes remaining, sealing Lugazi’s first victory over BUL in the league.
The result moves Lugazi to 11th on 14 points, while BUL sit ninth on 16.
Elsewhere, NEC picked a narrow 1–0 win away to Buhimba United, collecting maximum points to strengthen their position in the upper half of the table. Innocent Media scored the game’s only goal on 14 minutes.
