  • UPDF 0-1 BUL
  • KCCA 0-1 Entebbe UPPC

Vipers extended their lead at the top of the table to six points following a comprehensive 4-0 win over Buhimba United Saints at Kitende.

Milton Karisa scored a brace with midfielders Karim Watambala and Abubaker Walusimbi scoring one each to hand the Venoms a deserved win.

The champions immediately moved to 36 points and have a ‘game in hand’ over the chasing pack but only pending a decision from the Kitara game that was never played.

At the moment, they are on 14 games just like Kitara but still have a commanding lead.

In Bombo, BUL reacted to the 2-1 loss to Lugazi by beating hosts UPDF 1-0 to continue rising on the table.

The third win in four matches under Alex Isabirye sees BUL move up to 7th position with 19 points while UPDF stay third from bottom with 11 points after suffering a 10th defeat of the season.

At the MTN Omondi stadium, Lugogo, Abdallah Mubiru’s Entebbe UPPC stunned hosts KCCA by clinching a 1-0 win through Ambros Kigozi’s winner.

That moves the side temporarily into second position on same points; 30 as KCCA in third as we head into the halfway break.

That was KCCA’s first home loss this season and ensures the league newcomers end the first round with an unbeaten record on the road.

The first round will come to conclusion on Saturday with five fixtures on card.
