Police left it late to edge Mbarara City, Entebbe UPPC surged into the top five with a comeback win, while BUL and URA shared the spoils as the Uganda Premier League table tightens.

Police boosted their top-four push with a dramatic 2–1 win over Mbarara City in Kamwenge on Thursday evening.

Muhammed Kanyike gave the hosts the lead on the stroke of halftime, assisted by Ronald Eswok.

Police levelled in the 75th minute through Daniel Jakony, set up by Brian J. Obedi, before snatching victory deep in added time as Paul Marko Teny headed home from Saidi Kyeyune’s corner.

The result lifts Police to sixth on 38 points, while Mbarara remain 14th on 16.

At Royals Park, Entebbe UPPC came from behind to defeat Buhimba United Saints 2–1.

Anwar Mustafa Ntege struck first for the hosts, but Kigozi Ambrose equalised before substitute Isa Mubiru netted a stoppage-time winner.

UPPC climb to fifth on 40 points, signaling their determination to finish in the top half of the table. Buhimba stay stay second from bottom on 15.

Meanwhile, URA  and BUL played out a 1–1 draw. Richard Okello gave BUL the lead before Bruno Bunyanga restored parity early in the second half.

BUL remain eighth on 31 points, with URA 11th on 23. Action continues on Friday with a big one involving KCCA and Kitara.
