The StarTimes Uganda Premier League match day nine continues this weekend with a blockbuster lineup of fixtures across Saturday, October 31, and Sunday, November 1, 2026. Heavyweights KCCA, Villa, and defending champions Vipers are all in action as the title race and battle for survival heat up.
The undisputed marquee match of the weekend will see four-time champions URA host Vipers under the floodlights at Nakivubo.
The Venoms come into the game on the back of two winless matches including the defeat to Mbarara City while URA ended a bad run with a win over UPDF in their last outing.
Both teams have new faces in the dugout with Sam Ssimbwa in charge at URA while John Ayala Luyinda leads Vipers.
Vipers are 8th on the log with 11 points in seven matches while URA are 15th with seven points from as many matches.
In Kamwenge, KCCA’s winning run faces litmus against hosts Mbarara City who are buoyed by the 1-0 win over Vipers in the last game.
Brian Ssenyondo’s Kasasiro Boys are currently the league’s most in form side with four wins in a row and sit 6th with 13 points while the Ankole Lions, who will be without suspended Rogers Mugisha are 12th with eight points.
In Lugazi, record champions SC Villa seek to bounce back from a frustrating goalless draw with newbies Blacks Power with Lugazi the opponents.
Villa, one of the three unbeaten sides so far in the division are without suspended Andrew Okumu but remain favourite against a side they have beaten four times in six meetings.
The Jogoos could jump to the top of the table if they win and BUL falter in their home clash with Entebbe UPPC.
The two sides face off at the Fufa Technical Centre, Njeru in another blockbuster fixture on Saturday with BUL still leading the way with 19 points in seven matches while the Printers are fourth with 15 but have played one more game.
In Bukedea, fresh from holding SC Villa to a draw, Blacks Power host third placed NEC in another tricky fixture on Saturday.
NEC were 5-1 visitors over Ntugasaze in their last outing but Blacks Power offers a different challenge especially at home where they beat URA 3-2 before they travelled to Villa.
In the other match, UPDF welcome Kitara from continental exploits at Hamz stadium, Nakivubo in an early kick off.
The army side have lost their last two matches on the bounce and will seek a reaction against Wasswa Bbosa’s men who are unbeaten in four league matches played.
