Mbale Heroes have named Baker Mbowa as the new head coach as the club targets better performance in the second round of the premier league.
The ex-Express, Proline and Soltilo Bright Stars replaces Asaph Mwebaze who was officially sacked this week while still on a 28-day suspension from the club citing indiscipline.
During Mwebaze’s suspension, Mubarak Wamboya has served as interim managing two matches; 1-0 defeats to Maroons and NEC away and home respectively.
Before turning attention to the premier league, Mbowa’s first assignment will be in the Stanbic Uganda Cup where Mbale Heroes makes a long trip to Gayaza to face Simba FC in the Round of 64.
