BUL were forced to settle for a point after a 1-1 draw with Mbarara City in a tight encounter at Kakyeka Stadium on Friday afternoon, as matchday three of the StarTimes Uganda Premier League continued.
The visitors went ahead in the 35th minute through Seiri Arigumaho, but their lead lasted only four minutes before Ian Amanya levelled for the hosts, sparking celebrations among the home fans.
Both sides pushed for a win after the break but there was no separating them.
BUL’s second draw lifts them to second place on five points from three matches, while winless Mbarara remain 11th on two.
Later in the evening at the Hamz Stadium, Nakivubo, URA and Express also played out a 1-1 draw in an evenly contested affair.
Nelson Ssenkatuka put the Tax Collectors in front in the 17th minute, only for Ssenonga Kagawa to equalise just after the hour mark. The Express forward was later named man of the match for his energetic display.
Express winger Ismael Alli picked up a late booking as both sides settled for a share of the spoils.
The Ead Eagles are seventh on four points, while URA are a place and a point below them.
League action continues on Saturday, with NEC hosting Police at the MTN Omondi Stadium, Lugogo.
