·        Maroons FC Vs Soltilo Bright Stars FC – Luzira 4pm

·        Express FC Vs BUL FC – Nakivubo 7pm

Express take on BUL seeking a first win over the Jinja based side in five attempts.

The Red Eagles have not beaten Abbey Kikomeko side in the last four meetings with the last victory coming in 2023 when they won 2-1 away in a campaign, they did complete a double over the Jinja club.

Ending the first round in third place, a win will take them closer to second placed NEC who are not in action until Thursday.

“We want to start the second round with three points and as players, we are ready,” said Express captain Emmanuel Wasswa.

The reverse fixture ended 1-1 with Samuel Ssenyonjo scoring a late equaliser to cancel out Nicholas Mwere first half goal.

Bul are 9th with 20 points and a win could lift them to 6th place if Maroons who host Bright Stars in the other of the three matches on Wednesday don’t get a win.

The Prison Warders will be looking to secure their first ever double over Bright Stars who they edged 1-0 in the reverse fixture at Kavumba.

The visitors are desperate for maximum points as they want to escape from the relegation zone they have occupied for better parts of the first round.

At Najjembe, newly promoted Lugazi renew Fufa Big League rivalry with Police who start life minus main striker Isaac Ogwang.

The last three meetings between the two teams have ended in stalemates.

Police, 10th on the log with 18 points are only five points away from the relegation zone and understand that defeat at the hands of Lugazi could make them join the relegation fight.

Lugazi are 13th with 14 points and a win will give them a four point cushion over the red zone.
