Match day five of the StarTimes Uganda Premier League continues on Thursday with two matches on card.

At the Omondi stadium, Lugogo, seven-time champions Express visit NEC as football under floodlights returns to Lugogo for the first time this season.

NEC are unbeaten in four matches so far only dropping points at Mbarara City but Express coach Morley Byekwaso says they can be beaten.

“I think their consistency doesn’t mean they can’t lose,” said Byekwaso.

“In football, you can have good moments in the season but if we did our best, I think we turn the results. Our boys are so determined and eager to get good result and I believe we shall a see good game and a good result for us.”

Express have had to negotiate a tough fixture so far are on four points in 8th position while NEC, who will move top with victory are on 10 points.

Nicholas Jjonga returns to the visitors’ squad after he suffered a knock during the break but left back Shafik Batambuze is ruled out with an injury.

At the Hoima City stadium, champions Vipers face Blacks Power aiming to build on that impressive 3-0 win over Ntugasaze before the league went into the long international break.

Blacks Power have had a good start to life on return to the top division with three wins in four matches but lost 2-1 away to BUL in their previous outing.
