Express 4-0 Calvary
URA 0-1 Kitara
Express put their struggles aside with a commanding 4–0 victory over bottom-placed Calvary as Matchday Nine of the StarTimes Uganda Premier League continued at Hamz Stadium, Nakivubo, on Thursday.
Coming into the rescheduled early kick-off with only two wins all season, Express found welcome fluency against a Calvary side winless in seven – make that eight, now.
Richard Basangwa opened the scoring for the Red Eagles on 25 minutes off Peter Ozima’s delivery before Muhammad Ssenoga doubled the lead from the spot four minutes after the break.

Ssenoga added his second on 55 minutes, again assisted by Ozima, and substitute Herbert Asiimwe wrapped it up on 75 minutes following good work from Elvis Ssekajjugo.
The victory lifts the seven-time champions five places up to seventh on 12 points and eases pressure on coach Jimmy Kintu, whose side had fallen 3-0 to Vipers last time out. Calvary remain rooted to the table on a single point.
In the late kick-off, Kitara continued their push up the standings with a hard-earned 1-0 win over URA, dealing interim coach Edward Golola his first defeat.
PatrickKaddu struck the winner from the penalty spot in the second minute, and despite URA’s improved intent after their 7–3 rout of Buhimba, the tax collectors could not find a leveller.
Kitara, who beat Police in their previous outing, move to within touching distance of the leading pack, moving two places up to fourth in 16 points, one behind Police, SC Villa and table toppers KCCA. URA are eighth on 11 points.
