Fred Kisitu Kajoba, the Uganda Cranes, Coffee SC and Simba legend, has died aged 55.
Kajoba, a historical goalkeeping coach with Uganda Cranes died in Tanzania where he has been working at Ihefu Football Club in the country’s Premier League.
During his playing career, Kajoba played at Pepsi but it’s at Coffee where he spent over seven years from 1988 as the club’s disputed number one before moving to Simba (now UPDF) in 1996 where he ended his playing career.
He also kept goal for Uganda Cranes in the mid-90s but it’s in coaching where he has blossomed.
He won the Uganda Cup with Simba and also the league title with Vipers SC.
At national level, he was part of the historic technical staff that guided Uganda back to the Afcon finals in 2017 after 39 years absence.
Besides Simba and Vipers, Kajoba also managed Soltilo Bright Stars for several years.
