  • Mbale Heroes vs Vipers – Mbale 4pm
  • KCCA vs SC Villa – Lugogo 7pm

The fiercest rivalry in Ugandan football will be on tonight at MTN Omondi stadium, Lugogo as KCCA host SC Villa.

The two are the most clubs in Uganda with a combined 30 premier league trophies between them.

KCCA come into the game 3rd on the log with 22 points and victory will see them move close to the leading pack of NEC and Vipers who have 27 and 25 points respectively.

Villa is a little behind with 16 points which makes the fixture a must win for them if they are to remain slightly in the contention to defend their crown won last year that extended their trophy count to 17 titles.

The hosts could welcome Derrick Nsibambi back into the team after he missed the last outing at Wakiso Giants but much focus will be on Angolan Ettiene Katenga, Shafik Nana Kwikiriza and ex-Villa captain Gavin Kizito.

For the visitors, last season’s MVP Patrick Kakande and speedy forwards Charles Lwanga (formerly at KCCA) and Hakim Kiwanuka will be the go-to men.

Before this clash, Vipers visit Mbale Heroes at the Municipal stadium in Mbale targeting maximum points to return them to the top.

The Venoms could however be tasked to achieve the feat minus their coaches John Luyinda Ayala and Fred Muhumuzza if they are not allowed to leave the coaching course at Fufa Technical Centre, Njeru which they are attending.

They are just two points behind NEC who dropped points at BUL on Wednesday.

The host, on nine points and in the relegation zone will hope for victory to move them within a point of safety positions.

Elsewhere on Saturday, match round 13 will be completed with a Kitara vs Express clash at Butema.
