- Mbale Heroes vs URA – Mbale 4pm
- Vipers SC vs SC Villa – Kitende 7pm
Match day four of the StarTimes Uganda Premier League continues on Saturday with two fixtures on card including the big one between Vipers and SC Villa.
The two face off in a clash of the titans on Saturday under floodlights at St. Mary’s stadium, Kitende, an hour later after Mbale Heroes tussles URA at the Municipal stadium.
The Venoms have had an indifferent start to the 2024/25 season with a defeat, win and draw in the three matches played and find themselves six points off the summit early into the season.
With Serbian Nikola Kavazovic reportedly suspended, John Ayala Luyinda will take charge after being unveiled as the assistant early this week.
Any result besides victory against Morley Byekwaso’s men who are on six points could spell crisis at Kitende.
Villa also need to win to close in on leaders KCCA who are on 10 points as we head into the international break.
At Mbale, hosts will seek to bounce back from defeat at Wakiso Giants but against URA, they face an equally desperate side that dropped points at home in their last fixture.
The two teams are separated by a single point with URA on four while the hosts are on 3.
It remains to be seen whether coach Richard Malinga will be on the touchline after reports of falling out with the administration with Asaph Mwebaze preferred choice to replace him.
