·       Vipers SC Vs Mbarara City FC, St. Mary’s Stadium-Kitende (7:00pm) Live on Sanyuka Prime TV.

Vipers play their first league match since the demise of their Nigerian star Abubaker Lawal who passed away on Monday when they host Mbarara City under the lights on Sunday.

Lawal passed on under mysterious circumstances and his death hit the Venoms and Uganda football community to the bone marrow.

Winning against the Ankole Lions, coached by ex-Vipers coach Livingstone Mbabazi will not only give them some relief from the grief but also take them back to the top after being replaced by NEC who beat Lugazi 2-0 at Lugogo on Saturday.

A draw or win will be enough to see John Ayala Luyinda and Fred Muhumuzza men back to the top and it will be the second win in less than a fortnight against the same opponent who they beat in the Uganda Cup 2-0 in the round of 32.

Before this clash, record winners and champions SC Villa visit UPDF at Bombo aiming to maintain a good start to the second round.

They did beat URA 1-0 after a draw with Wakiso Giants and are also into the last 16 of the Stanbic Uganda Cup.

Villa, 8th on the table with 24 points and will move into top five with a win while the Bombo based side are just a point below on 21 points.

At Luzira, KCCA will hope to make amends after misfiring in the past matches in which they have won just one game in the last ten league games.

They are 7th with 24 points while Maroons who they hammered 5-0 in the reverse fixture earlier in the season are on 23 points in 9th position.
