Kitara 4-0 Lugazi
BUL 0-0 Express
Patrick Kaddu scored twice and set up another as Kitara thrashed Lugazi 4-0 at Royal Park, Butema, for their second straight StarTimes Uganda Premier League victory.
The brace hero opened the scoring in the 13th minute, finishing neatly from Isaac Amutuhairwe’s ball, before doubling the lead from the penalty spot on the stroke of halftime.
Lugazi’s frustrations grew as they collected three yellow cards, with Amos Etoju and David Bagoole also booked.
Six minutes after the restart, Kaddu turned provider, teeing up Yunus Sibira to make it 3-0 and effectively seal the contest.
Gadafi Wahab then capped a dominant Kitara display with a sublime fourth — his corner curling directly into the net in the 87th minute.
The result lifted the Royals to sixth place on seven points from four games, while Lugazi dropped to ninth, remaining on five.
Meanwhile, at the Fufa Technical Centre in Njeru, BUL’s five-match unbeaten league run stayed intact but their push for another win was checked by a stubborn Express in a goalless draw.
Express, who were desperate to end a three-match winless streak, held firm for a point.
BUL probed for all three points but settled for one in the end, which was enough to dislodge Buhimba United Saints from the top on goal difference. They both have nine points apiece, while Express are eighth with five.
League action continues Friday as Buhimba host SC Villa and KCCA entertain Calvary at Lugogo.
