Wakiso Giants 1-2 BUL

SC Villa 0-0 Kitara

KCCA 1-0 Mbarara City

KCCA won their first StarTimes Uganda Premier League match in four attempts, edging visiting Mbarara City 1-0 at the MTN Omondi Stadium, Lugogo, on Saturday.

Usama Arafat scored KCCA’s winner off a Yian Gatbel assist in the 67th minute as Jackson Magera’s men won again since thrashing Soltilo Bright Stars 5–0 late last month.

That win had been followed by a 4-0 thrashing by Kitara, which led to coach Abdallah Mubiru’s dismissal.

KCCA’s 10th win in 25 matches lifts them to sixth, level on 37 points with SC Villa, while Mbarara City remain just a place above the relegation zone on 23 points.

Speaking of Villa, the Jogoos settled for a goalless draw with Kitara at Wankulukuku, leaving them just below KCCA on goal difference.

Kitara are also on 37 points but lie fifth thanks to a superior goal difference over both KCCA and Villa.

At the Kabaka Kyabaggu Stadium, an eighth-minute effort by Najib Fesali, off a Joremy Kirya assist, and an own goal by Martin Mukiibi in the 55th minute, handed BUL a 2–1 victory over hosts Wakiso Giants.

BUL’s 12th win of the campaign keeps them third on 46 points, 13 behind leaders Vipers SC with five matches remaining.

Wakiso, whose consolation came courtesy of Hudson Mbalire — who finished off a Musa Ssegujja assist — remain third from bottom on 19 points.

Matchday 26 kicks off on April 29 with three games lined up.
