StarTimes Uganda Premier League leaders, Kitara, missed the opportunity to go four points clear at the top before Wednesday’s double header clashes of other title contenders.
The Royals scored first through marksman Denis Omedi on nine minutes but Seiri Arigumaho struck them a blow with a leveller seven minutes from full time for a 1-1 draw in Masindi on Tuesday.
Kitara remain top on 48 points, two ahead of Vipers, who have played two matches fewer.

KCCA versus Villa is the day’s other match at Namboole, with the latter also potentially having a chance of breaking into the top two depending on the day’s results.
With five matches left to end the season for both Vipers and Villa, you could argue they hold the initiative.
Kitara have three matches left while BUL still have four more to play.
Elsewhere, Busoga injected some more life into their survival chances by grabbing a valuable point away to URA in the goalless draw.
They remain a place above relegation on 22 points, two ahead of Gaddafi, who have a game in hand. URA are eighth on 35 points.
