Thirteen-time champions KCCA make a long trip to Hoima City to face hosts Kitara in a blockbuster fixture on the opening day of the 2025/26 season.
The fixture sees KCCA co-coach Brian Ssenyondo face his former side now managed by Wasswa Bbosa.
The two sides have met six times in the premier league with either winning three times.
Besides the premier league, they have also faced off in the Fufa Super 8 three times with either winning once and drawing as many.
In the latest meeting, KCCA came out on top in the Fufa Super 8 with a 2-0 at Hamz stadium, Nakivubo but Kitara won the last league meeting 4-0 at Butema, a fixture that ended Abdallah Mubiru’s career at Lugogo.
At Bugonga Fisheries Ground, premier league football returns to Entebbe for the first time in over seven years when two newly promoted sides, UPPC Entebbe host Buhimba Saints United.
The two sides have beefed up their squads in the transfer window and have new faces in the dugout as well.
In Njeru, Alex Isabirye returns to BUL in the opposite dugout with URA FC.
