Joint record winners KCCA, former winners Vipers SC and reigning cup holders Kitara will compete in the semi-finals of the Stanbic Uganda Cup alongside Fufa Big League side Kataka.

KCCA eliminated Fufa Big League side Kaaro Karungi on Saturday with deflected strikes courtesy of Derrick Nsibambi and Usama Arafat turning Clinton Kamugisha leveller into a consolation.

On Sunday, Arthur Kiggundu scored late to give Kitara a 1-0 win over visiting BUL at Royal Park Butema in an event filled game marred by chaos and saw referee Henry Musisi dish out three red cards.

Vipers joined the fray on Monday with a hard fought win over SC Villa thanks to a late goal from captain Milton Karisa who got at the end of a rebound after Villa goalie Jeans Brady Wokorach failed to tame a Karim Watambala shot from distance.

But Police failed to make it all-premier league last four losing to Kataka 3-0 on penalties after drawing 0-0 in extra time.

Tony Kiwalazi, Agustine Kacancu and Ben Ocen sent their attempts on the cross bar while the visitors converted all their chances at Kavumba.

A draw for the semi-final will be conducted soon and the matches will be played on home and away basis to determine the finalists.

The winner of the competition earns a flag to represent Uganda in the Caf Confederation Cup.
