Kataka 0-1 Kitara
Kitara claimed a 2-1 victory over StarTimes Uganda Premier League newcomers Kataka in their Matchday Six encounter at the Bukedea Comprehensive School Sports Complex on Saturday.
The Royals broke the deadlock on 57 minutes through Jimmy Kalema, who finished from close range after a long ball from Benjamin Nyakoojo.
Kitara doubled their advantage in the 90th minute when substitute Crispus Asiki converted from an acute angle inside the penalty area.
The forward was set up by midfielder Frank Tumwesigye, popularly known as Zagga, with a through ball that split the Kataka defence.
The hosts responded in the second minute of added time, with Latif Ssenkubuge finding the net to reduce the deficit.
However, the late goal was not enough to prevent Kataka from suffering defeat on home ground.
This was the Royals second victory in four games as they remain unbeaten with 8 points, climbing to 6th place on the 18-team log.
Consequently, Kataka remain winless in five matches with just two points fetched as they are second from the bottom.
