Kitara’s transfer business continues with the club unveiling SC Villa defensive midfielder Misi ‘Diego’ Ssemugera.
The ex-Police anchorman is the latest new face at the Royals following earlier acquisition of Ghanian Bonny Christopher, Martin Kiiza and Jackson Ssembatya.
Kitara however lost forward Muhammad Shaban who left the club on mutual termination just five months into his two-year contract.
Meanwhile, Villa has already replaced Ssemugera with highly rated youngster, Steven Mugisha, a former captain of Bulemeezi in the Masaza Cup.
Nicknamed ‘pivot’ by his peers, Mugisha has signed a four-year contract with the record champions and is the third addition to the Blue family.
Others are John Asiimwe and Fufa Big League top scorer Isaac Gumperom who were unveiled earlier.
Elsewhere, Villa has let go of 2023/24 league winning goalkeeper Norman Agufindiru following expiry of his contract.
Both the club and player confirmed the development on their social media pages.
He is the latest player to leave the Jogoos after Charles Lwanga and Elvis Ngonde who joined KCCA as well as Misi Ssemugera who joined Kitara.
