URA 0–0 SC Villa.
The Valentine’s Day round of the 2025–26 StarTimes Uganda Premier League concluded in stalemates on Saturday as both Express and SC Villa were forced to settle for a point in their respective Matchday 16 encounters.
At Hamz Stadium, Nakivubo, Express counted their point in a goalless draw with Entebbe UPPC in the first of a Saturday double-header that ultimately produced no goals. Later, SC Villa were also frustrated on the road, sharing the spoils with URA in another barren affair.
The two results ensured the day ended as an anti-climax, with neither of the headline fixtures delivering a breakthrough moment. Across the round, six earlier matches played on Thursday and Friday had produced 11 goals, offering sharper attacking edge than Saturday’s cagey contests.
Overall, Matchday 16 registered four wins from eight matches, with the remaining four ending level. Three of the stalemates were goalless.
In the standings, Entebbe UPPC remained fifth but climbed to 31 points, while Express sit five places and 14 points behind them. SC Villa stayed third on 31 points – six adrift of leaders Vipers – as URA continued to battle in 13th on 14 points.
Attention now shifts to Matchday 17, which takes centre stage on Tuesday, February 17.
