Police coach Abdallah Mubiru was impressed with new boy Albert Mugisa on his debut but expects even more.
The former Ndejje University midfielder put up a man of the match performance against SC Villa in a 1-1 draw at Namboole as he ran the show in the middle of the pack.
“I was impressed he never respected anyone on his debut,” Mubiru told upl.co.ug. “But he is a player we expect can offer more and he also knows that,” he added.
“If he keeps fit on ground and continues to work hard, he will be a revelation among the creative midfielders in the league.
Police came from a goal down to draw 1-1 with the 16-time league champions in an impressive performance but Mubiru feels they could have done better.
“We deserved better than a point but being our first game, against a side with quality and history, we take it.
Mubiru’s charges host Proline next at Namboole in a televised picture on Friday next week.
They sit top of the log with four points, same as SC Villa, Vipers, Kirinya Jinja SS and Mbarara City but have a superior goal difference.
