After action in the Stanbic Uganda Cup, focus now turns to the Premier league with four matches on card as match eighteen gets underway on Saturday.

The major focus will however be at the MTN Omondi stadium, Lugogo where second placed NEC host Lugazi under floodlights.

The Bugolobi based side, runners in the Uganda Cup last season are now focused on only competing for the league trophy and Hussein Mbalangu will demand swift reaction after they were stunned by Blacks Power in the cup.

The reverse fixture ended in a 1-0 victory for Lugazi who seek to seal a double over their opponents.

The hosts will replace Vipers at the top for at least 24 hours if they win as they are currently just three points adrift after they dropped points at Police in their last league outing.

Meanwhile, Lugazi will hope to build on their rediscovered form having won two of their second round matches so far and are now 11th with 20 points, seven better than the relegation zone teams.

At Butema, Wasswa Bbosa has a chance to avenge his first defeat in Kitara dugout when his side host URA.

URA are 3rd on the table with 27 points but defeat will see them overtaken by 5th placed Kitara who are unbeaten in the past eight league matches.

In Mbale, hosts Mbale Heroes target the scalp against Police as the fight against relegation rages on while Soltilo Bright Stars, another relegation candidates host BUL at Kavumba.
