- SC Villa vs URA – Luzira 4pm
- NEC vs Mbarara City – Lugogo 7pm
NEC must beat Mbarara City to keep within proximity of table leaders Vipers SC as the first round of the premier league draws closer.
Hussein Mbalangu’s men are now four points adrift of the Venoms who earned a 1-0 win away to UPDF on Friday.
The hosts will be favourites against the Ankole Lions who are 12th on the log with only 14 points but must be clinical at either end of the pitch if they are to get maximum points.
NEC beat Mbarara City home and away in the only league meetings last season and the visitors will look to avenge that.
At Luzira, champions SC Villa host giants URA in a fixture both teams want to win to stay closer to the title challenge after a relatively average show so far.
Sixth placed URA come into the game in good form with three wins in the past four matches and victory will take them joint 3rd with KCCA.
For Villa on 17 points in 10th position, this will be an opportunity to pick a first win in five matches having won in the past four.
The Jogoos won the corresponding match last season, a win that literally gave them title no.17.
