Police FC have appointed Matia Lule as the new head coach on interim after partying company with Simon Peter Mugerwa.
Mugerwa was let go by the 2005 league champions following a 3-1 defeat by Soltilo Bright Stars which left them unsafe despite being six points above the red zone.
According to the statement released by the club on Saturday April 5, 2025, Lule will be assisted by Nestroy Kizito and Ahmed Borini Olima who have been part of Mugerwa’s staff.
Stephen Kiggundu Billy will be the new goalkeepers’ coach taking over from Ben Kalama and he brings a wealth of experience having worked with giants SC Villa, Vipers and URA in the same capacity before as well as on various national teams.
Lule and his team will begin their tenure with a home game against equally desperate Police FC on Thursday April 10.
