Uganda Cranes head coach Paul Put and captain Khalid Aucho are confident of overcoming South Sudan in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers on Friday.

The two teams lock horns at Namboole with the Cranes desperate to maintain their good run in the campaign so far.

With a draw and win over South Africa and Congo, Uganda lead group K with four points while South Sudan are still searching for their first points after losses to both those nations.

Speaking before the press, both Aucho and Put sounded confident of earning points in the double header that will take the nation closer to a return to the finals.

UPL stars Allan Okello, Denis Omedi, Jude Ssemugabi, Gavin Kizito and Arnold Odong among others are expected to play a part in the game.
