Express and SC Villa renew rivalry in the only game in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League on Thursday at Hamz stadium, Nakivubo.

The clash finds the two rivals chasing different goals with visitors SC Villa looking to keep leaders Vipers and KCCA in close proximity while the Red Eagles want to run away from relegation places closeness.

A win for Villa who welcome their captain David Owori and striker Reagan Mpande from national duty as well as centre back Geoffrey Lubangakene from suspension will take them within a point of leaders Vipers and same points with second placed KCCA.

For Express, a win sitting 11th with 12 points, just two away from the bottom two, it remains to be seen whether NEC bound Richard Basangwa, John Asiimwe and left back Hakim Wandera will feature.

Express won last season’s corresponding fixture 1-0 at Nakivubo and that is their only win against Villa in the past six meetings.
