Lugazi have sacked coach Sadick Sempigi after failing to win any of the five premier league matches so far in the premier league.

The club, currently bottom of the premier league standings confirmed in a statement issued on Friday October 18, 2024.

“Lugazi FC and Head coach Sadick Sempigi have mutually agreed to part ways,” a statement on the club website partially read.

“We would like to express our gratitude to Sempigi for his tireless efforts and services during the time we have been together and wish him all the very best in his future coaching endeavors.”

Oliver Mbekeka has been placed in as interim head coach until further notice when the club name a permanent head coach.

“Coach Mbekeka Oliver now takes charge of the team.

“The Club will be making no further comment until such time when the new head coach is appointed.”

Lugazi’s next game is a trip to Hamz stadium, Nakivubo where seven-time champions Express FC are lurking.

Sempigi joins Malinga as the two coaches in the premier league so far to have lost their jobs.
